Help EARTHWORKS keep fracking toxics out of drinking water
Dear Sharon,
Imagine…
One day you discover a multi-national energy company has purchased the rights to drill for gas beneath your property.
The peaceful serenity of your home is ruined by the 24-hour industrial noise just yards from your back porch.
Equipment is installed, roads are created, and you don’t have much say or control about what happens on your land.
Your water begins to smell and taste bad, or just runs out altogether.
You have been FRACKED.
Too many Americans don’t have to imagine this scenario. It’s happening. We are all being served a toxic cocktail by the oil and gas industry under the guise of clean energy. Under the so-called “Halliburton” loophole in the Safe Drinking Water Act, oil and gas drillers are allowed to inject hazardous materials — unchecked — directly into or adjacent to underground drinking water supplies.

from drilling/fracking toxics.
The FRAC Act
The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives introduced legislation this summer — The Fracking Responsibility and Awareness of Chemicals Act (FRAC ACT) — to close this dangerous exemption in the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Wish I could donate, but all my money is tied up in fighting XTO ENERGY LANDFARMING CORRUPTION IN HILL COUNTY, TEXAS. None of these National Groups are helping TEXAS.
TIRED OF THE LIP SERVICE.

YES! OGAP is doing quite a bit for you and for Texas. They are working very hard with the Texas OGAP steering committee. They are well aware of your situation and please believe me, we are working on it.
BUT, it takes money! And, so far, I am the biggest contributor to the Texas OGAP effort. Hell! I'm a single mother! How much money do you think I have? My money is all tied up trying to survive.
