    We live in Holly Lake Ranch a rural development in East Texas and are going through some of what you have dealt with. they have destroyed a vast number of trees in our natural setting. We are still in the noise and lights phase. I have just started reading up on the lack of rights that residents have with regards to oil drilling. I am attending a homeowners association meeting today and am trying to quickly educate myself. The drilling company snuck in and started their process without any notification to the residents who border the drilling site. They are drilling on property that is supposedly under HOA bylaws – which we have found mean nothing. I have sent letters to local TV stations and newspapers but have gotten little response except "there's nothing you can do about it". Any tips on how to deal with this? The oil company has 3 other parcels out here so I am anticipating other drill sites.
