Aruba Petroleum continues to thumb their nose at us and, despite all the recent information that proves Shale Gas Threatens Human Health, they are venting the gas wells at the Ruggiero’s property and at their neighbor’s.
There is no reason to vent or flare a Barnett Shale gas well according to Devon Petroleum.
Oct. 4–Some experts say there is little reason to flare or vent natural gas from wells in the Barnett Shale.
Instead, they contend that drilling companies should hook up the wellhead-to-sales pipeline at completion of the well.
Venting and flaring is not allowed at the DFW Airport so why should it be allowed right next to where people live?
…billions of cubic feet of natural gas are lost to flaring (burning off of gas) and venting (when the gas is simply released into the air).
Natural gas is METHANE the most powerful greenhouse gas and can be full of harmful toxins.
It’s a little hard to tell what’s happening in the dark there but if you watch closely you can see an Aruba Petroleum employee urinating in public.
