State to study Flower Mound cancer cluster

I blogged about the possible Flower Mound cancer cluster in early December.

Leukemia in Flower Mound

5 children and 2 adults in the same area have leukemia and they all live or lived within 2 miles of the drilling.

I was told that all the children attended the same daycare facility adjacent to a natural gas well but I don’t know if that has been confirmed.

Cancer studies rarely reach the comprehensive study stage according to this article, Cancer investigation launched in Flower Mound.

Interesting: The same zip code area previously had a thyroid cancer study.

    You know, this is the kind of thing I want to do with my degrees. I want to study the genetic effects of environmental stuff … and make it better!!! One day, you'll hear of me! 😛 Maybe I can be the next Erin Brockovich!!! Hahaha. They seem to be doing a lot more of these studies lately, geee, wonder why?

    Remember, all TX state agencies are stacked with Perry appointees. I don't expect much.

    Yeah, well, Perry can't keep his record incumbency up forever. Hopefully he's ousted in favor of someone better before I get hardcore. Just sayin.

    Our only hope is Bill White because KBH is worse than Perry. In 08 she was second only to George Bush in most money from big oil.

    You are right, all the children lived in the same area until one moved to another neighborhood in FM last year. The adults live in the same area. I believe 2 of the children attend the same daycare but the daycare is located near all their homes. Thanks Sharon for helping to get the word out.
