Hmmmm, heavy industry next to
300k+ homes = property devaluation, I would hardly call this news, but glad they did the story. Oddly enough, cities used to solve these kinds of problems with something called "zoning", an archaic device wikipedia defines as a tool to "…segregate uses that are thought to be incompatible. In practice, zoning is used to prevent new development from interfereing with existing residents or businesses and to preserve the "character" of a community. Ask ANYONE who moved to Flower Mound and the "character of the community" is the first thing virtually everyone mentions, too bad it is vanishing rapidly.
