I’m just asking if Fort Worth has some drilling ordinances because Chesapeake Energy sure seems to have their way with Fort Worth.
Look at this runoff in these photographs that were forwarded to me from an anonymous reader:
I’ve been in touch will the EPA quite a bit lately so I happen to know that they are highly concerned with runoff from drilling sites. That’s one reason they established this HOTLINE:
EPA “Eyes on Drilling” Tipline
877-919-4372
In fact, everyone I know who has used this number has gotten a response. Had I taken these pictures, I would call that EPA hotline number and send them the photos.
Then there’s that other matter of the Texas Health Code…
Cities and Counties have TCEQ authority over drillers

I know this site. I have seen it. It's AWFUL. Chesapeake could care less and so could the Mayor. the land owner has been complaining for a year and asking for compliance with the ordinance. I heard today that they are even drilling at this site without a valid permit from the RRC. That's right. It is still pending approval. Doesn't that make all permits issued by the city invalid? Sure but who's looking? Chesapeake bought and paid for the politicians in Ft. Worth. LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOR, CHESAPEAKE IS THERE!!!!

I used to think I would move to the city so I would have some protections. I guess that's not a good plan either. We are devolving to 3rd world country status.

I still have not gotten a call back about doodygate. How long does it take for them to call back? Should I call again?

To answer your question: yes, FW has a drilling ordinance, zoning ordinances, regulations, and even an elected city government. The only thing is—CHK essentially owns and runs all of those things and people. This ain't Cowtown, Texas anymore. It's Cheat-sapeake, Oklahoma now.

Why not call them back. We might as well live up to all those adjectives they put on us.

What the hell is wrong with Chesapeake? They pay millions to Aubrey who is a complete failure. They should cut his salary just a little and do things right when they drill. Instead they bully people and cut corners everywhere they can. It wouldn't take much to fix this mess but they don't do it because they don't have to. This landowner should sue them.

CHK and the La-Gasanostra syndicate (with the politicians and bureaucrats in their pockets)behave the way they do because of a deadly combination of unconscienable greed+arrogance of power+sociopathic mentality. Most importantly, they continue because "we the people" allow them. Public apathy and disunity fuel their boldness and cruelty.
