Senator Davis issued a press release yesterday revealing that TCEQ hid testing in April that showed higher than normal levels of benzene in Fort Worth.
“It is apparent that TCEQ will continue to hide data crucial to the public’s health,” Davis said. “I am going to expect of TCEQ that they will release all information relevant to the safety of our community.”
Please make the distinction between the “suits” at the top of the TCEQ and the investigators who are on the ground in the Barnett Shale doing the best they can to try and help us. The issues at the top are not the fault of the individual investigators who, for the most part, are doing an excellent job investigating the odor complaints. They are writing thorough reports and, in some cases, taking extraordinary measures to obtain the evidence necessary to take enforcements actions against irresponsible operators.
The people at the top of the TCEQ were all appointed by our governor.

Luke Jones and Annette Graves have been especially helpful to my family. Luke is a real trooper, stood in a plume of emissions for LONG time to get FLIR video and samples.

I am very impressed by Luke. And who was it who wrote that thorough report on the diesel emissions? What that Jarrett? Wow! What a great report that is! It's pure gold. I haven't met Annette yet but when I do I want to thank her.
