The Denton Record Chronicle lays it all out in a crystal clear timeline showing TCEQ’s intentional deception.
Hey, can this finally and forever shut Ed Ireland up?
Notice in the article that TCEQ’s answer is not to protect public health by employing the maximum control technology available. TCEQ continues to chant their mantra: More Study.
And, somebody, please go check the calibration on that permanent air monitor in DISH.

Tan Parker R-Flower Mound made a comment a few months back that, if there was any indication that BS air was a problem, he would be the first demanding answers. Now, the TCEQ debacle (and that's what it is) breaks and he again says if there was anything that didn't go right, he will be the first to look into it. You're NEVER the first Tan, you're always the last to the game, and even after something has happened, you're still slow to react. A "leader" takes care of this BEFORE the people he represents have to. At least Burgess is giving the appearance he cares and that something is wrong at TCEQ (at the top). If the Flower Mound election has taught you and Burgess anything, it's that having an "R" by your name will not protect you from this issue any longer. ACT, or we will.

Scratch that – I guess his donors got him back in line…..
"His [Burgess] office released a statement today saying he's changed his position.
“I have determined that an investigation by the Texas Attorney General’s office might not be the best course of action. TCEQ is currently up for review by the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission, and I have every confidence in the Commission to conduct a thorough review of TCEQ. Further, I am confident in the state regulatory agencies’ ability to fulfill their responsibilities and ensure the safety of Texans.”

…an investigation might not be the best course of action because they are sure to find a lot of cover ups and some of those PIRs might have my name on them.

I actually met briefly with Burgess just yesterday. I think he's a blithering idiot. I'm embarrassed as a Conservative, and I'm embarrassed for him because after my meeting with him, I know he does not get it. The man is a doctor, and suffered from asthma in his younger days. He had no clue what the asthma rate is of kids on the Shale, and wasn't even aware that there existed a higher rate amongst children on the shale.
I suggested to him that since he's one of the few actively calling for an investigation, he could get in the forefront of this and sponsor actual legislation for chnage. The man sits on the Energy and Health Committees in Congress, for God's sake.
He's a 1968 graduate of The Selwyn school- same school as my daughter attended (now past tense) and completely missed the fact that on the property right next to the school, where 200 children attend, is the world's largest waste pit and drilling operations. Thank you, Devon, for being so considerate of our children.
I wanted to ask that he demand a fedreal investigation, one where a special prosecutor is appointed to conduct an actual investigation, and people Like Sad Liar becomes guests of the Feds for a few years. I didn't. I was so unimpressed with his inability to grasp even simple facts about gas well drilling. He knows nothing, and doesn't want to know anything.

I guess asking him to co-sponsor the FRAC Act would be a waste of time then.

And we're supposed to have absolute trust that the current air monitoring in DISH is accurate?

What would the sampling show now with temperatures close to 100%
