There is bound to be a pipeline or gas well somewhere near you.
Look on the Texas Railroad Commission GIS map.
Find out when the next City or Town Council Meeting or County Commissioner Meeting in your area takes place. Attend the meeting and sign up to speak during the public comments. Ask about the blast zone of area pipelines and ask if the fire department has special training or equipment in case of an explosion.

The city of Ft. Worth will not tell you what the size and pressure of the lines are because they don't want anyone to calculate the blast zone. They would not give the information to pipeline safety experts who were in town to address pipeline safety issues a few months back. Once again the health and safety of the citizens takes a back seat to the greed of the officials.
