In what universe does a public servant get to issue a hit piece full of lies against another public servant, when proof of the lies exists on video,—God! I love YouTube–then try to redeem himself by uttering a sentence with the word sensitive in it?
Councilman LeBlanc! I’m embarrassed for you! This would be a good time to keep a low profile. Sir, here is a picture of your credibility level:
See video at 4.50 minutes and compare to Mel LeBlanc’s “Guest Column” HERE. He even lied about the time of the statement. RECKLESS!!!
About Sharon Wilson
Sharon Wilson is considered a leading citizen expert on the impacts of shale oil and gas extraction. She is the go-to person whether it’s top EPA officials from D.C., national and international news networks, or residents facing the shock of eminent domain and the devastating environmental effects of natural gas development in their backyards.

it's no secret that Mel wants to seek higher office so he continually grandstands and the papers oblige by writing about his antics. He probably thinks his reach-around to industry will be rewarded with campaign dollars. I wonder if it's Cluck's job or Wendy's he wants.

Starting to wonder if it's a generational thing. Remember Aruba CEO Larry Poston threatening legal action against the FW Weeekly if they didn't retract…a known fact, backed up with multiple videos showing Aruba doing EXACTLY what Poston just said they had NEVER done.
Maybe it's one of those power things where they think they can say just about anything because of who they are. Come back down to earth, Mel.

I will start by saying that Councilman LeBlanc has always been frank and forthright with me in our discussions about drilling in Arlington. His opinions usually are well thought out and logical, even when we disagree.
That being said, I think he needs to understand that, if his motion to approve the Ross Trails SUP died for lack of a second, perhaps there's a really good reason for that.
My experience has been that the other 8 council members are not swayed by "anti-drillers focused on explosions and widespread air pollution" as he suggested they were.
The truth is, the P&Z denied approving this location because they didn't think it was the highest best use for the land, and a lot of neighbors within 600 feet didn't want it.
And even then, the P&Z turning down a site has rarely been sufficient to keep this Council from going ahead and approving a drill site anyway. This Council has often tossed the P&Z recommendation aside and approved.
If 8 members of this Council refused to second, it must have been a really crummy site (it was). But to blame Wendy Davis' comments for turning his fellow council members around is giving Senator Davis way too much credit.
I was a little disappointed in this piece by councilman LeBlanc.

Oh blah, blah! LeBlanc was elected by citizens to do their bidding. He's forgotten that. Besides that, he is a liar.
