“We believe that our case will show that since 2005, the [town] council majority removed many of the protections provided by Flower Mound’s original oil and gas ordinances,” plaintiff Virginia Simonson said in a prepared statement. “We also plan to show that the protections were removed without the full understanding or majority support of Flower Mound residents.”

What, oil and gas has paid off the whole system? I would have never guessed. The oil and gas industry is a cancer to real, honest businesses and industries and IMO the real 3rd rail of being a Republican.

Our courts are just as clueless as our municipalities about this assault by the energy industry. It requires due diligence to discover all about it…but they are all too lazy and end up getting most, if not all, of their information from the industries that don't want anyone to know the truth.
