Things could get A WHOLE LOT WORSE before they get better depending on the election results. The rumor in Austin is: when the Republicans sweep this election, the House and Senate plan to remove all the regulation from the oil and gas industry.
UPDATE: Another rumor is that they will give Bryan Shaw the EPA Region 6 Administrator job.
I have been to visit some of our Republican representatives and their ears are closed. They cannot hear us and they do not fear us because Big Gas has their backs. One representative did mention that he was open to giving the industry more incentives.
More incentives? Really?

"… remove all regulation… " What regulation? People, we don't have to live here. If you can afford to do so, get out now to save your health but send money back to fund the war effort. If you can't afford to move, keep engaging the enemy at every op you can. It's OK to take breaks for your own sanity, but don't give up. In 1914, a wise man said this:
"First they ignore you. Then they ridicule you. And then they attack you and want to burn you. And then they build monuments to you." or as Gandhi added, "… then you win."

This is truly sad. Poor Industry, after all the tax breaks, welfare, laws largely on their side and 99% of the politicians, and they still have something to whine about? We have to keep beating the drum, regardless of who is in office. I'm so disheartened by the candidates that I just might not vote at all. I'd rather do what Steph Hallowich suggested- Vote for 'None of the Above.' This is politics at it's best-and it's war, too. War on us, that is. In Texas, whether you own 2 acres or 2000 acres, unless you own the mineral rights-and most do not-you really own 200 feet around your home. The rest is just land that hasn't been drilled on yet.

I certainly hope others don't follow your poor example.

Thank you for voting!
TXsharon says
Revolution will only be necessary if Texas voters continue their ignorant voting patterns. It's DAMN easy to look up the voting records. Texans are politically naive and easily manipulated.

Holdup. Bryan Shaw? EPA Region 6? Won't happen. Not yet at least. Can't get a new EPA administrator until a new President is in office.
TXsharon says
Right, Sara, not yet but things are not looking good right now. They have already picked their replacement for Dr. Al if Obama is not reelected.

Dr. Al is a good dude. And keep in mind that Obama has the "no go" deal if the 'publicans get in office–which I doubt.
