ONE DEAD, FIVE STILL MISSING AFTER ALLENTOWN GAS BLAST
Explosion destroys at least two center city homes, sets six on fire, more than 600 people evacuated.
One person has died and five others are missing after a thunderous gas explosion demolished two center city Allentown row homes late Wednesday night and set six neighboring houses ablaze, injuring several residents and forcing more than 600 people from the surrounding city blocks and the Gross Towers senior apartment complex.
The blast occurred about 10:45 p.m. at 544 N. 13th St., owned by Beatrice Hall, 74, and her husband, William, 79. The Hall’s son, Mark Hall of Bethlehem, and his wife were at the scene awaiting word on his parents, his father-in-law said by phone early Thursday.

When you let the company's that build these pipeline's pressure test and regulate them this is what you get. Looks like another San Bruno. So how many more people have to die in gas pipeline explosions before state and federal agencies start testing these antiquated pipes?

Before you jump to any conclusions, let me explain, so that you need not check with Ed Ire man or the Mayor or other members of the Fort Worth City Council or Chesapeake or XTO.
It is a mere coincidence that there was a gas pipe line in the area where there was an explosion. No one has proven that there is any relationship between the two. Pipelines have been there for years and there has never been an explosion there before.
And, it won't happen in Fort Worth because Fort Worth has safe pipelines and the state and local regulatory agencies do not tolerate explosions.
And, besides, "only" three people are known dead at this time. We value life and many more could have died if it had not been for the safety measures that all responsible parties assure us were and continue to be present in Fort Worth..
So, all you environmental freaks who would kill jobs instead of people just need to get over it.

To anonomous 2:20. Such BS. Your pipes will corrode and rust, etc. like all the other "too cheap" pipes out there. If there's a gas pipeline out there, it's just a matter of time till BOOM happens!!!
