Ward County Crews Working to Cap Natural Gas Blowout

NewsWest 9WARD COUNTY – Crews in Ward County are still working to cap a natural gas blowout.
It started Wednesday morning about 10 miles north of Barstow.
A Devon Energy natural gas rig had a blowout spewing gas into the air.
Officials tell NewsWest 9, crews and equipment have been delivered and they’re working to get the blown well under control.
One family was evacuated from their home as a precautionary measure.
Devon Energy is taking care of them financially.
