This huge pipeline is right behind Jeana Cole’s home. I don’t see any reason, other than cost to the operator, for not odorizing the gas.
Lon Burnam has a bill about odorizing gas in pipelines. HB1125 – Relating to a study regarding the odorization of natural gas transported in gathering and transmission lines located in populated areas. You should contact your representative and ask them to support this bill. It might save some lives.
Other pipeline safety bills sponsored by Burnam:
HB 1124 – Relating to safety requirements applicable to gas pipelines in certain counties.
HB 3792 – Relating to municipal authority to regulate gas pipelines located within the municipality.

They want us to believe that these shale gas gathering and transmission pipelines are no different than the gas pipelines that bring the gas to our homes, and yet they don't want to "odorize" them? And how many of these pipelines have already been built and are disasters waiting to happen??

There will be another New London type disaster and all of the politicians will be eating crow.
It took a school full of dead kids to get odorization the first time, what is it going to take the second time around, 2 schools full of kids? Why do I hate politicians so bad, oh yeah, they are all lawyers.

They don't want to odorize the gas in the gas field because when it leaks from all the rotten and aging and corroded pipelines, the peasants want smell very much! Plus, it's cheaper.
