Then this:
International Day of Direct Action Against Extraction
On April 20th at 5:00PM Rising Tide North Texas will be hosting a march and rally in downtown Fort Worth to bring the people’s demands to the front door of the worst and most brazen polluter in North Texas; Range Resources. Not only does range resources operate thousands of polluting wells across North Texas [remember DoodyGate] and Pennsylvania, but is refusing to comply with the EPA’s order to provide water for Weatherford families whose well water the company contaminated.
The data undeniably proves that hydraulic fracturing in North Texas is causing unimaginable levels of cancer-causing air pollution, is putting toxic chemicals into our groundwater that may never be possible to clean and is causing illness and deflated property values for families and homeowners.
Join us at the corner of E 2nd St and Main St to make Range Resources, our industry-backed politicians and all gas drillers hear our demand that this toxic, destructive and economically unnecessary practice must end immediately, lest we sell the future of our region for the short-term profits of a few rich men. We invite all groups and individuals in North Texas that oppose hydraulic fracturing to unite with us on April 20th transform our individual campaigns into a unified, region-wide voice.
