After further examination of the economic viability of the Milner gas well site, XTO Energy has decided not to pursue drilling activities at the location. Our plan envisioned connecting all three proposed sites (Milner, Joe Wright and Sky Creek Ranch in Keller) with one pipeline. Building a pipeline for just one site given the smaller gas stream does not yield a project that is competitive with other investment opportunities.
Unfortunately there is not enough time to re-file our permits before the leases expire.
We are very disappointed with the outcome as the originally-proposed project was a good opportunity to responsibly develop the mineral assets for many residents of Southlake.

So, why aren't they filing suit like they say they will when they are pursuing drill sites?
Or is this the proof that is always an empty threat?

I will spread the news at work, in Southlake.
I know there was a suit filed that the permits were approved incorrectly.
That would have meant, that it would be tied up in courts, then, needing to be re-permitted.
A little work does go a long way.
Every one needs to stand up for what they think is safe, and right.

I hope the Truman/Cowboy Stadium site puts that one hole in the ground for the "lease holds" and then waits til fracking eternity til the price of natural gas goes up soby "that" time most of the old greedy royalty holders and the small "c" big christian church leaders are dead before they can see the first royalty check hah!
Unless HB 3105 passes, it's always an empty threat. That's why HB 3105 exists. They'll be back later, when things settle down, maybe 10 years from now, but they will be back.

The above post is in Arlington. I was told there are 4-5 wells by a pond/park in Arlington close to Dalworthing Gardens and they have not received one royalty check.
Maybe yours will not either.

I want to move to Southlake.
The battle in Southlake is not over. XTO may not drill, but it is likely that Titan, that has a permitted site near the Southlake/Colleyville border will try to buy up the XTO leases and drill into Southlake from a location in which Southlake has no say in the matter. Because Colleyville has shown no interest in protecting Southlake citizens, let alone its own citizens, the same people who fought drilling in Southlake are now going to have to work to get residents of Colleyville educated and motivated to mandate that citizens are protected.
You ever notice none of the Industry boys ever have the courage to use their name? They seem to muster enough courage to come lie to you, steal your land, dump toxic waste all over it, and destroy the property value…and they always find your blog. Can't remember the last time of them actually used their name in a post. What are you so afraid of?
