Remember SB 875? The bill that started out this session by taking away your right to protect your property from pollution is back. Due to citizen pressure, the bill, written by Senator Troy Fraser, was amended so its scope was very narrow–still a bad bill but it only pertained to GHG.
Today Rep Bonnen (R), added an amendment in the Texas House that will take away the rights of local governments, citizens, ranchers, landowners and all Texans to protect our property under the nuisance clause of the Texas Water Code.
I will send you an action alert tomorrow and post it here with action you can take to stop this bill. It’s already passed the Senate and the House so this is a last ditch effort to protect our property.

How is this "the People's Business" – more like the "Gas companies business".

Just called his office. His secretary was still in office @ 8.24 pm and responded with a typical response of conveying my message. I encourage everyone to call any time and leave a VM if you don't get him or his secretary. We have to stop Mr. Troy Fraser!

Our worthless Texas politicians are at it again!! Wasting our tax money and supporting the "enemy". We the ordinary citizens have NO protection in Tx. This kind of legislation should be illegal or un-constitutional, or something like that!

People, please remember this when you go to vote. Just because someone is a Republican or Democrat, does not mean a thing. Do you homework and start voting for the issues that are nearest and dearest to your heart. You have two years before the next session to get rid of some of the gasholes.
