In reference to HB 3328, the Texas disclosure bill, Elizabeth Ames Jones, Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission said that “Gas drillers won’t be required to reveal all the chemicals they shoot underground in the process because they are trade secrets.”
“We won’t be knowing the recipes,” Jones said during a telephone interview from the state capital, Austin. “That’s sacred ground as far as I’m concerned and I don’t think that’s at all the direction we want to go in.”
