Chesapeake has announced a “Declaration of Energy Independence”
which would fatten their wallets at the expense of the environment.
And they are making good use of the media to promote their agenda.
On the day of the announcement, for example, Pickens made appearances on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe with Joe Scarborough” and on Bloomberg TV, McClendon and Chesapeake sponsored an “Energy Breakfast Briefing” that was co-hosted by Politico, and also was a guest on CNBC and Bloomberg TV, and Littlefair was also a guest on CNBC’s “Mad Money with Jim Cramer”

I’ve dubbed it the ChesaPickens Plan(tm).
Instead of spending all that cash on PR maybe Chesapickens should spend it on righting everything they’ve done wrong.
That’s not the plan though, Robert. The plan is to sweep in, make as much as they can as fast as they can then evacuate to another country leaving the taxpayers to foot the clean-up bill. That’s the way they have done it for decades. We never seem to catch on.

More like decleration of oil and gas dependence. MSNBC is perhaps the worst, has anyone else notice they are now the direct line of propaganda for the government. When they want to announce the foulest of plans they do it on MSNBC.
