Here is an update:
This is a correction to our previous message asking for information on the ‘Oil Rig Fire” reported by KOCO TV as near Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Others are now reporting that this is thankfully just a tank battery fire.
Thanks to all that have sent the corrected information to us!

The drillers constantly tell us they know what they are doing so with the rash of fires I must conclude either these fires are intentional set (for insurance?) or they are liars?
Deb Lambert says
Can you please update when you know which company it was that was drilling?
Patrick says
Wasnt a rig fire, was a tank battery that caught fire after someone shot at it!
David says
WOW I didn’t know salt water burned! (insert sarcasm here) Must have been armor piercing?
Nick says
Continental Resources location. Fire from rifle bullet to the tank. Arson investigation underway.

I think the natives have had enough.
Nick says
Not sure arson is the correct way to express “enough” tho?
TXsharon says
Nope, it’s not the correct way at all but it is not surprising at all either.
Nick says
There was nothing “drilling” here. Someone decided that shooting a bullet into a stock tank was somehow justified…Really?
