The Denton Stakeholder Drilling Advisory Group (DAG) is hosting Wilma Subra for a public lecture this Friday 3:30 p.m. on the UNT campus in ENV 110 (EESAT building corner of Hickory and Ave. C)
Subra will speak to the health impacts of hydraulic fracturing and shale gas drilling and production.
This is a fantastic opportunity for us. Wilma Subra is a renowned environmental scientist who works tirelessly to help the public understand and combat the health effects of toxins in their environment. She was featured in the film GasLand and is a MacArthur Fellowship Genius Award winner. She served as vice-chair of the EPA National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology and as a member of the EPA National Environmental Justice Advisory Council. She is a model of citizen-driven science in the pursuit of enviornmental justice.
Wilma is a board member of Earthworks.

Be careful enroute or back cause the last time I drove to UNT for a gas drilling forum, on my way home I got fracked in having to drive through a white plume of sewery smelling, health affecting crap that lingered for days.
