OMG! WTF!

Maybe it’s really Betty White.

I recall reading several articles about the ‘movie’ FrackNation is trying to make; the ‘directors’ claim that they are simply trying to show the other side of drilling, all the many, many wealthy people and all those millions of poor farmers whose farms were saved by fracking. Reading the article about the ‘Promised Land’, the directors have revealed their true colors- “…likely that PROMISED LAND will increase unfounded concerns about fracking.”
Am I really supposed to believe they are unbiased and not swayed by Industry, and that all that money that Industry sent them (if it could be identified as sent by Industry) was supposedly returned? Now they’re screaming about competing with Gasland 2 and this movie.

What I want to know is why they are trying to raise money on Kickstarter.
Anonymous says
Because they want to make it look like it was funded by ‘the people’ instead of industry. Which in reality, it is just their way of forming their own SuperPac via Kickstarter as I’m sure that their ‘donators’ are all executives and shareholders for the gas & oil and chemical industries. It’s no surprise that they’ve raised so much money. I’m sure if they asked CHK Aubrey M. to chip in some chunk change from his 100MM salary, he’d be happy to.

Ah, I knew it was not what it appeared to be. It never it with this industry.
Robert Finne says
One of the directors, Ann McElhinney is a regular speaker at CPAC and is openly hostile to environmentalists. You can see from the CPAC speech exactly where the movie is going yet they had not even started raising funds for it yet

These people can’t seem to make a successful movie on their own. They have to glom onto successful movies like Inconvenient Truth and GasLand to attempt to be relevant and even then they fail.
Their first 2 movies were failures in every sense of the word, but yet they are somehow able to raise substantial capitol in a few months for the 3rd?
This movie looks to be yet another “Haynesville” but without the stigma of Alternet uncovering that Haynesville was completely funded by the industry. Steve Horn discovered that the “filmmakers” address and a gas companies address were one in the same as well as the director having gas industry ties.

I don’t think Matt Damon will be down with their agenda. He better be careful or he might become a pariah like Tommy Lee Jones.

We live in a world where fracking up gas is “clean energy” so I think me played by Meryl is not much of a stretch at all.
Fracking Crazy says
I like Johnny Depp, based on his past character roles, he could play a good Ed Ireland…
David says
How about Ed played by UNCLE FESTER from the Adams Family – is he still living? Uncanny resemblance!
