From GhostBlogger:
While frackers are celebrating the Resignation of Dr. Al, Eagle Rock had one of their gas plants explode & burn:
Hemphill County gas plant explosion (video and photos)
Note how the fireball scorch area extended beyond the fence. And, that *was* green grass!
Feel better about gas facilities as neighbors?

Looks like this gas plant is up in the panhandle. There are more than a dozen of these huffing-puffing-breathing-stinking monsters in Booger County. Anyone know of a county that has more than that amount?

Oh, I forgot about the many compressor stations and pipelines going everywhere and the many, many gas treatment facilities at well sites.
The Tx. state regulators do even map the locations of gas plants and compressor stations for public viewing. Sure would be nice to know where all this crap is located, just in case you wanted to buy some property in a specific location for residential living.

With force Mineral Rights pooling & Eminent Domain, a new gas plant, gas well, or compressor station could still pop up in a lot of places in Texas. A 30 inch diameter, 1200 psi new gas pipeline was installed in an old landfill in Texas, with future settlement of the trash almost certain. Did the TRRC even take notice of that? Who knows.
So, wise locations for these facilities should not be bet on by the public. You could use the PHMSA NPMS that’s online to find many pipelines, but oil & gas gathering lines are not on it.
