There was plenty of media at the STFA rally yesterday.
So you might be asking: why did the MSM failed to cover the Stop the Frack Attack rally in DC yesterday, despite the fact that about 5,000 people traveled–at great personal expense–from all over the US and globe to send a message to our leaders, watch this video. (The commentary on STFA is at the end.)
As Josh Fox said at the STFA rally: We the People have to be the media.

Lets face the facts, corporate media will not cover a story that may hurt their bottom line or that may offend their corporate masters. case in point the Libor bank scandal – never heard of it?

wow – 5,000 people show up in DC and the Post can’t even mention it?!?
No media – it’s like it never happened. Not on NPR, NY Times, Washington Post, local NY or PA papers…..
and newspapers wonder why no one reads them anymore.

Joseph Goebbels would be proud of our media!

that’s all 5K?, drop in the bucket when it comes to DC protests
David says
it’s not how many,it’s the message. The oil and gas industry try’s to portray the fractivist as moonbat hippie weardows. If you look at the citizen media – they could be your neighbor, your family or your friends!
I’ve seen protest by the Tea Party get coverage with 250 people!

5K from 30 different states. 5K who shelled out their own cash to travel from as far away as Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and California.

RT is a Russian government funded news station w/ well documented history of pro-kremlin bias. Covering specific news incidents to push Russian propaganda. I get your beef w/ so-called mainstream media but flirting with danger when you turn to an outlet like RT. You may like them because they’re giving attention, but they don’t have your interest at heart. Do you think they report on Gazprom, Russias nationalized oil company, also the world’s most profitable company? NO.
Please take this post down- you can be excused for you’re naivety but Standing by RT is a pact with the devil.

Ben another GOOD source for news that is not influenced by corporate media is Al Jazeera English Live Stream: http://www.aljazeera.com/watch_now/
Enjoy!

Thanks Ben. As always, love your skewed advice.

I’m not taking down the post. The reporting in the video is sound.

Al Jazeera and RT are not in the same league. But Im with you! Main stream media should have covered the protest. I was there- it was moving. Especially when Bill McKibben spoke of his vision.
But how absurd! Don’t relish Russia’s state owned tv coverage, without considering their motive and intent. GAZPROM google it if you’ve never heard of it. You think Russian government is concerned about the environment, or what their citizens think about climate change? They are only interested in cultivating a divisive and polarizing issue to undermine American’s loyalty to their country.
What a bunch of hypocrites!

I could not afford to travel to DC, but I did attend the blockade protest training for the Keystone pipeline. It is a sad day when the media turns its back on the stories that NEED to be be told….but we’ll take the sad..and turn it into mad and watch us grow baby grow…the movement cannot be ignored…we cannot be silenced!
