Leaking pipelines a few feet below the ground risk more than explosions. Between 1997 and 2001, 17 children were diagnosed with leukemia.
“We have solid evidence that the Kinder Morgan pipeline leaked into the school at E.C. Best,” Attorney and environmental immunologist Alan Levin said.
State and federal officials absolved Kinder Morgan but Mark Whitten, a “chemical expert and EPA funded scientist,” signed an affidavit stating:
“there was a leak in the pipe, and it took Kinder Morgan over a year to fix that leak, because every time we went there, you could see the hole in the ground. You could smell the jet fuel.”
A neighbor who witnessed the pipeline being repaired also signed an affidavit.
He claims when it was pulled out of the ground you could see holes in it where a leak might have seeped out – saying: “not large holes, but obviously rusted-through spots in the pipe.”
VIDEO: New lawsuit claims Fallon cancer cluster isn’t over and leaking fuel pipeline is cause. The news story has links to the evidence and supporting documents.
This sounds a lot like the leaky pipeline in McAllen, TX where the leukemia cases are just beginning.

We need to do soil tests for high chlorides and benzene along the plastic produced water pipelines in Ft Worth that lead to the evaporization station pilot program at the Arc Park Compressor Station. I’ve asked, but have been refused. Maybe shaletest.org is able?
We also need to investigate if that polyethene? piping from 30? padsites have a protective internal coating or barrier so that benzene doesn’t permeate/diffuse through the pipes right here in Ft Worth.
The Railroad Commision doesn’t regulate those plastic produced water pipes and I recall Senator Davis? being concerned about that.

So, pipeline leaks don’t always get quick detection and action.
