This week I had my measurements taken for my solar panels.
As I mentioned in the 8th installment of my series “Goodbye natural gas you dirty boy! It’s over between us,” I am going solar because
Texas Solar incentives are back!
I just contracted with One Block Off The Grid for solar panels that will offset approximately 50% of my electricity usage and lock in a low rate of approximately 3.2¢/kWh for the next 20 years.
It only took about 30 minutes to get my solar fitting. A nice man in a bright SolarCity green van looked in my attic, looked at my internet connection, looked in my garage at the electric gizmos, then he got on my roof and took my measurements.
So far I have to give One Block Off The Grid and Solar City two thumbs up for their customer service and for making this process easy.
The incentives are limited but there are still some available. If you call One Block Off The Grid, talk Marcus Joo. My youngest coined a new term when he was about three: explain-ee-ologist. Marcus is an excellent explaineeologist.

I’m glad you posted this recently. “Faux” News blows it again!!! How many Germans stay at home for suntans? Check out the maps for details. Parts of Alaska get more sun power than most of Germany. Your part of Texas gets more sun power than any part of Germany.
