It’s hard to believe that Rep Rafael Anchia would file this bill after attending a townhall and hearing over 80 Texans detail the impacts they have suffered because of fracking.
This bill will use money from the oil-field cleanup funds to promote exporting our resources. Texans suffer the impacts, industry gets the profits, Asia gets the gas.
(f) The commission shall establish an office of energy technology exports and investment, to be funded from the oil-field cleanup fund, to promote the export of energy-related commodities, goods and services in the international marketplace and the promotion and development of infrastructure to support.
