Shepstone wrote another one of his twisted screeds. I don’t normally try to comment on the fracking Joe Camel site but, since Shepstone vowed a couple of months ago to post all comments, I gave it a shot on Saturday. The comment must have disappeared into the ethers so I’ll just post it here.
Tom’s screed.
By now, we all know how it works, Tom.
- The landowners have proof of contamination and sue for damages.
- The frackers make a settlement offer but it comes with a gag order and many other stipulations that strip away your rights.
- Before you get the check that will FINALLY get your family to safety, they make you sign a piece of paper saying you weren’t harmed.
No one I have ever known wants to sign away their rights. But the choice is exposing your family or getting them to safety. And there is plenty of evidence showing drilling and fracking causes harm. Is there anyone out there who believes you can breathe and drink toluene, styrene, benzene and many other chemicals and not get sick? Raise your hand if you do, please. I have a couple of residences you can pick up dirt cheap.
BUT, let’s talk about what happened to Exhibit B and what might be hidden there? Let’s have a look at that first. Can’t you wait a few more days for Exhibit B? It looks like we might have it soon.
“In a motion filed Friday in Washington County Common Pleas Court, the newspapers asked President Judge Debbie O’Dell Seneca to order Stephanie and Chris Hallowich to file the missing document with the Washington County prothonotary.
That document was not part of more than 900 pages of court records the judge ordered unsealed Wednesday, even though the agreement supposedly was “attached” to other filings in the case and is identified as “Exhibit B” in the released documents.
“While it is unbeknownst to Intervenors why an exhibit averred to be attached to a court pleading filed with this Court is missing,” the newspapers’ said in the 12-page motion, “it is clear that the Agreement, Exhibit B, is a judicial record subject to public access.”
Unseal all the gag orders on people who have been harmed. Let Laura Amos, Tim & Christine Ruggiero, Runner Susan and her neighbors, and all the many others who are gagged speak out. Let’s look at their documentation that’s hidden away.
Hey Tom! Would you like to take a trip with me to visit some fracking sites? I can guarantee a headache and sore throat, maybe even a nosebleed and rash. How about it? This is the real deal not one of those industry model rig tours.
It just occurred to me that this is a coerced confession and it’s the same as torturing someone to get a signed confession. Our legal system has a set of rules to detect false confessions. I think the Fracking Mafia should be required to follow those same rules.

Thank you for this update.
Now I understand why the Hallowich’s attorney hasn’t come forward to straighten all of this out. Peter Villari is on vacation; and unavailable for comment
…..let me guess: Switzerland? Bahamas? Grand Cayman? Anyway, I’m zure Peter will straighten this all out for us when he gets back.

I know that you are heavily invested in hating all attorneys. I’ve had a very different experience. Did you notice the attorney’s fees in this case? This has been a huge case so that’s not a great deal of money when you consider the expenses. I know some very kind and generous attorneys.
Tim Ruggiero says
What’s to straighten out? Range Frackin Resources lost AGAIN, and given that 40% of the settlement PLUS expenses is STANDARD, and this attorney did it for 20% and about $6K in expenses, I’m going to go with that the attorney wasn’t in it for money alone.

BH posted your comment on your behalf. I was going to comment myself, but then I made a decision some time ago not to even bother with it anymore. In my opinion, posting comments, i.e. , the TRUTH on Industry blogs and FB pages is a waste of time and energy; Tom Shepstone, Ed Ireland, Matt Pitzarella, David Poole and the rest of them do this for a living, and their job is to say No to your Yes. No one is ever going to post a comment or a link to an article, study or anything else where one of these Paid Liars are ever going to say “You’re right, and we we were wrong”. It’s never going to happen, so why bother with it? All we do when we post comments is to drive traffic to their sites and give them someone to argue with, and they ‘win’ everytime because they pick and choose what gets posted. And they all have a way with words, especially the deflection.
Shepstone just deflected in his comment and putting it bold that the Hallowich’s ADMITTED neither they or their children suffered and ill health effects. That’s not what the court documents say. It says there was no EVIDENCE PRESENTED. (If I have to explain the difference between Evidence and an Admission, Tom…..)
Prior to Shepstone’s fantasy, Pitzarella made some kind of odd and puzzling attempt to equate a payout of $750K was proof that ‘shale gas drilling is safe’. He also tried to make it seem as though there was little anyone could do by claiming that the Hallowich’s decided to build their home at the exact same time that Range decided to set up shop, claiming it wasn’t a good situation for either. He failed to mention a number of things, one of which was only until AFTER the Hallowich’s sued did Range offer a paltry $100K for their $400K house. He also failed to mention how much money Range spent fighting the case the next two years, and how much more they spent on fighting the opening of the sealed court records. Bet it was more than $400K, the minimum Range should’ve offered from the start. But, like most arrogant gasholes, they think because they have millions at their disposal, and they believe their own BS, they held onto this fantasy that the Hallowich’s would wear down and give up. Wrong again. You’d think they might learn after losing so much and so often. Stuck on stupid I guess.

I don’t like to give them the additional traffic so normally I don’t link or click their links.

Please count me amongst the wronged. I took the money and signed the non disclosure so as to remove my family from harms way. I can’t talk at all about what happened to us; or where or when or who.
And now I get to watch the sharade parade all over again from my armchair. At least I can talk about what happened to the Hallowichs….and the Hallowichs can talk about what happened to the Joneses, and so on. If Im “invested” in distrusting attorneys; please know that I have paid heavily to get to this position.

BTW – my son will complete his undergraduate degree this spring, and plans to take the LSAT exams in September. He plans to attend law school and become an attorney. Same with my daughter, two years behind. I couldn’t be any prouder of these two kids.
But I’m still quite curious about Exhibit B. The continued silence from that law office is deafening; don’t you think?
Tim Ruggiero says
I would have just simply hit the ‘like’ button, but there isn’t one….Good for you-or your kids, rather.

I think I have a good idea what Tim & Christine Ruggiero experienced…

The government in our country has announced that it will remove a temporary ban on hydraulic fracturing across the country.
Fracking, as it is known, is a controversial technique for recovering gas and oil from shale rock. But how concerned should people be about the environmental impacts? Does Unites States who is leading sure about the environmental effects of this new technique?
yones recently posted..The disputed South China Sea areas probably have a few conventional oil and natural gas resources
