Natural gas storage site explodes, burns in southwest Wyoming, no one hurt
“Some sort of pressure valve malfunctioned and exploded, resulting in a fire at the facility,” said Eric Quinney, chief administrative officer for Uinta Fire and Ambulance.
Something is always malfunctioning at these sites.
There are natural gas storage facilities all over the Barnett Shale right in people’s backyards.

yes accidents happen and will happen if they didn’t then we wouldn’t have car crashes would we?
surprised you haven’t tied the tragedy in West to fracking
TXsharon says
Fracking tragedies stem from poor regulation and placement of facilities–lack of zoning–the same as the West fertalizer plant was poorly placed and unregulated. It’s s systemic problem.

Peterk.
I will be interested to hear you do the opposite. Go ahead; try to distance fracking from the tragedy at the Adair fertilizer plant in West.
Please dont forget to address the part about NG feedstocks used at the facility, or the location of that facility relative to a high pressure NG pipeline; OK?
