What do you suppose happened at this gas well site when the tornado went through last night?
News reports said the area was evacuated because of leaking gas. The reports said a pipeline was leaking, a pipeline had exploded, a gas tank was leaking.
Begin sarcasm: Any contamination was pre-existing or naturally occurring. \end sarcasm.
The gas well was very close to a neighborhood that consisted mostly of mobil homes and Habitat for Humanity housing.
UPDATE: I wonder if there is any kind of emergency management plan.

Besides the Rancho Brazos, I heard they were evacuations for gas issues at the Day Cordova Ranch too. I also heard another report on a different TV station that a pipeline broke at a gas plant in Hood County near Grandbury. Not sure if they are referencing the same “pipeline broke” event ….is there a gas plant near Grandbury? I bet so, gas plants and padsites R everywhere making it harder for tornadoes to NOT miss them.

Rancho Brazos was the hardest hit with 110 total homes in the area. Most are reported to have been heavily damaged and/or destroyed. The affected area in the subdivision is approximately ½ mile by ½ mile
Wonder what that gas well looks like right about now.

Silly girl gas wells are under ground…the tanks may have got hit since they are just sitting on top, not anchored down, unless you call lateral lines anchors.

Oh yeah. Snap. Ya know, lightening sure does love those tanks.

lets see now . houses get destroyed by tornados. houses have gas lines for their stoves and heaters. those gas lines are broken thus spewing natural gas. yeah that’s it has to be the fault to the gas wells faults

TV reporter says tank at natural gas site is leaking… So many scenarios when you use explosive natural gas.

No tornados here and look at what is being reported as harmful to the wildlife …OIL WELL WAS LEAKING OUT ABOVE GROUND. MULTI LOCATIONS 4 OF 7 WELLS ON LEASE WERE LEAKING. IT WAS POOLING ON GROUND, RUNNING OVER HILLS. COMPANY, RRC TX WAS CALLED. THE CLEAN UP STARTED THE NEXT DAY. AS OF TODAY WELLS ARE STILL LEAKING!! THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED. THEY HAVE BEEN LEAKING BAD ENOUGH YOU CAN FOLLOW WILDLIFE THROUGH THE WOODS FOR A LONG LONG WAYS! THEY ARE COVERED IN IT. PEOPLE ARE HAVING TO DEAL WITH THIS ON THEIR LAND AND THE OIL COMPANY WILL NOT HARDLY COMMUNICATE WITH ANYONE. http://alerts.skytruth.org/report/b2bf3bd8-43f9-3035-998e-dff2cc05#c=stae
