EOG flared one of its approximately 11 Maples wells on CR 518 in Johnson County. This site is between Bethesda Road and FM 917 just East of I-35, about 1/2 mile from the interstate.
The flaring has gone non-stop from March 31, 2010 and was still going on when these pictures were taken on April 3.
Flaring releases a lot of toxins, causes acid rain and is not necessary in a proven field like the Barnett Shale.
