As the truth slowly oozes to the surface that the surge will involve sending not 20,000 more troops but more like 48,000 troops and that it will cost Americans $10 Billion dollars, a civil war is breaking out amongst Republicans. When Tony Snow recently suggested that Republicans who are against the surge are for the terrorists, that was the last straw for Joe Scarborough, a true, life-long conservative. Even Pat Buchanan who is still inclined to be a Bu$h apologist is in agreement.
“If you‘re a true conservative, there is no way you can support staying the course in the sight of such failure.”
Let’s spend the $10 Billion dollars fighting Islamic radicalism in a smarter, more effective way and save same some American lives in the process.
