David Van Os has signed on as lead attorney representing TURF (Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom) in a Federal lawsuit to halt the U.S. 281 tollway plan.
Sheila McNeil, city councilwoman, is chairwoman of the Metropolitan Planning Organization board. It seems she won’t allow discussion or consideration of a resolution against TxDOT using $9 million in taxpayer money to propagandize their toll roads.
McNeil sounds like Wise County’s former Democratic Party Chairwoman and self-proclaimed decider because McNeil, like Ms. CountyChair, says “an unwritten policy lets the chairwoman set the agendas.” Nice way to control the show.
“The people of Texas are fed up with out-of-control, abusive government,” said Terri Hall of Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom. “This is taxation without representation.”
You’re damn right we are!
Van Os is asking for a hearing before the planning board meets in December.
