Brett Shipp, WFAA, reported again tonight on Atmos Energy and the gas explosions.
I kid you not. Here is what Atmos said:
A top official from Atmos Energy is on the record saying that all natural gas leaks are serious and possibly deadly.
Yet when a homeowner asked Atmos to fix her gas leak they said it would not be repaired because it was not a threat.
But then Atmos VP said:
“I believe anytime you have an escape of natural gas you have the potential of a serious situation that could cause serious damage or even death,” said Scott Powell, Atmos Vice President.
According to Atmos, the vast majority of leaks can go months without being repaired. I guess the leak that killed Bennie and Martha Cryer wasn’t one of those kind of leaks.
Sweet dreams…
