Protecting the waters of Texas is a priority for Dale Henry.
Longview News Journal
Water is the biggest issue Texas faces today and many people don’t even know it. YET.
Texas is FIRST in the nation for toxic chemicals released into our water.
Henry said the commission has for many years considered the economics of the industry more important than public safety. He said that philosophy has changed in recent years, but it needs to continue to change. He said the commission must consider what is in the public’s best interest.
“Environmentally, we have a problem,” Henry said.
And the Barnett Shale’s insatiable thirst is depleting and permanently removing water from our hydrologic cycle.
Water preservation key issue for Railroad Commission candidate
Marshall News Messenger“My campaign is important for one reason,” Henry said, “and that is because the state of Texas is running out of water. It is an abused natural resource and the Railroad Commission has done nothing about it for the past 106 years.“
Dale Henry gets it!
Dale Henry understands the important issues and he is knowledgeable about the functions of the Railroad Commission.
Dale Henry has no conflict of interest issues with the oil and gas industry like his opponent. Our current Railroad Commissioners are too “chummy” with the very industry they are supposed to regulate because they have received substantial amounts of protection money from oil and gas. Texas can’t take more of that!
