From an email: The DCP Midstream facility in Carthage experienced an explosion and fire this morning and these are some of the pictures that hit the wire. Event occurred around 10:30 am on 2/11/09.

This could be the next neighborhood BBQ for Cowtown where pipeline companies take our front yards using eminent domain. They pipe the gas up north where they can get more money for it. They pay royalty owners here based on Waha, which is much lower than Houston Ship Channel prices yet they get premium prices for the gas in Chicago and New York. We take all the risk and reep little benefit. What’s wrong with this picture TEXANS?

This is what happens when Exco Resources does not repair their pipelines properly.
DCP is actually on of my customers, they are a very safe company. This was an accident but what everyone failed to mention is no one was killed, and only a few were injured. Stuff like this happens. It happens in cars and in homes from electrical fires, are we supposed to go back to the stone age?? The money that the yankees pay premium prices for, is good for the state. That money counts towards the state economy. Which by the way, without Cattle and Oil and Natural Gas; Texas would not be the same. If you love Texas, you gotta love it's resourses that make Texas the best. STOP COMPLAINING IF YOU WANT TO BE A TREE HUGGING HIPEE MOVE TO CALIFORNIA!!!
there was an explosion around November 22, 2009, at the Holly #4, i can't find anything about it
