Naborton residents remain evacuated
Gas well blowout keeps people from home a second night.
The well was still unchecked Saturday night, but “significant progress” was made by Chesapeake Energy Corp., the well’s owner, and speciality contractors to “maintain more control of the natural gas release,” said Kevin McCotter, director of corporate development for Chesapeake’s Louisiana operations in an e-mail to The Times on Saturday after 9 p.m.
Man! Chesapeake is hard on those LA folks!

I like how all of your pictures show the wells before the reclamation process. Or how the oil and gas field is about the only field hiring people while everyone else is laying off. What company do you work for?

If you have pictures of wells that have been reclaimed or of the process, please send them. I’d LOVE to see even one picture from Wise County.
This weekend I noticed many old well sites with rusting equipment in horrible shape. Some are so rusted out they are leaking whatever contents was in them. It’s truly disgusting and alarming.
All the jobs in the world won’t make any difference without water and air.
