Natural Gas Well Down After Leak
Jul. 30–MCNETT TWP. — A natural gas well in McNett Township,
Lycoming County, has been “killed” with the well pressure stopped,
said Douglas G. Mehan with East Resources Inc. on Wednesday.It was done as part of an investigation of a natural gas well leak
there. One person was evacuated from a home, water was being provided
to four homes, 18 wells were being monitored, and some roads in the
area were closed by the state police, it was reported.

The fish in the area were all at the top of the water column, pooled together. They're now burning a reported million dollars a day in the three wells in the area. Three days had passed since the first evacuated home and the response from the company. We may need the gas, but it's in there, not going anywhere, and we should be obtaining it properly, not quickly.
