NPR needs to come and live in a stinking 'ole sour gas field in Tx. After a few weeks of that, then put it on the air.

I think someone coined the phrase National Petroleum Radio. This is an apt name for it. I heard two of the segments last week, and they were truly horrifying when you consider that many intelligent people believe what they hear on NPR is reliable news. The first time I heard advertisements from Monsanto and Exxon Mobile on NPR years ago I knew there was something rotten in Denmark.

There is a long history of dirty energy sponsoring high brow radio/TV. Texaco 5-Star Theatre was big in the 50's. Exxon has sponsored high profile PBS shows for decades. Big Gas learned at their knee. The fault lies with the PBS board.
You will never find Big Gas-Oil sponsoring Prairie Fest in Fort Worth. I stacked the board with radical environmentalists.
