Does Chesapeake’s No-Drilling Pledge Do Enough to Protect NYC’s Watershed?
Last week they said: Company says NYC Watershed More Important Than Profit From a Gas Well
Now they are saying it would be “improper” to ban drilling in any part of the state.
This country used to have enough sense to know that there were some areas where drilling should never, ever occur but that was before George Bush and Dick Cheney started a war and turned the whole country into their rich friends’ cash register!
ProPublica asks: So what does Chesapeake’s pledge actually mean?
Answer: nothing.

Chesapeake oughta get a trademark licence for talking out of both sides of their mouth–and even from other orifices. When a person or entity consistently lies and/or say half-truths, a reasonable person cannot take anything they say at face value. I wouldn't believe them if they were to say "Yep, we're lying". CHK's words about drilling in NY might mean more than "nothing" in the sense that behind their every statement and action, there's likely a well thought out devious plan to "outsmart" everybody. Kinda odd, studies of sociopaths indicate similar thought pattern and attitude (I'm smarter and stronger than everybody else, so I can do whatever I want when and how I want—which is why detectives have to learn to think like criminals in order to catch them.) Keep your detective hat on, Sharon. It's a long investigation—with some major "masterminds" in the picture. Good night and don't let CHK and their types out of your sight (bedbugs ain't nothing compared to these fracking critters!).

Oh my word! I nearly choked to death when I read this:
I wouldn't believe them if they were to say "Yep, we're lying".
Another landowner contacted me tonight. She was bewildered: "They just looked me right in the eye and lied." It's so hard for people to grasp how devious they are.

These people (and their industry) make sleezy used car salesmen (and their greasy industry in general) look like altar boys. I wonder if the crash in the automobile industry had any connection to the people working in the O & G industry. Most pests and cockroaches scatter somewhere when there's fumigation being done. So what do they have to do "to put YOU in" a contamination zone, TODAY? They've always known the answer, but we're catching on (probably not soon enough, though).

If thier lips are moving, they're lying. DO NOT ever believe anything that a O&G representative says.
