Could all the recent negative news about Barnett Shale drilling have influenced the placement of this: Natural gas facilities planned near Argyle?
Short of murder, what lengths would you take to shut up an award-winning investigative reporter if you were part of the Oil and Gas Mafia?
The site is adjacent to property owned by Peggy Heinkel-Wolfe, a reporter for the Denton Record-Chronicle who covers the natural gas industry.
I’m just saying…
We can’t let this happen.

Cheap Tricks and Costly Truths says
Yeah, I guess they figured out email threats weren't going to work and have now resorted to physical fear tactics…upping up the bullying.

Normal residents in Tx. have no rights at all. When Big Gas moves in, just RUN. Get out of Dodge! You have no other choice. Look at Booger County, lots of damage there.
Tim Ruggiero says
Run? I say we stay and fight, don't care what the odds are, who has more money or any of that other crap.
Peggy, unfortunately, will have a permanent first hand experience with every step and stage of this filthy and dishonest business, I'm sad to say.
I'm sure her own ethics will not let her report on the the soon-to-be disaster right out her front door, but I bet it will only strengthen her resolve to help others by continuing to report the truth.

The many of us who have been the recipients of Peggy's amazing investigative reporting owe it to her to fight for her when the industry is trying to silence her. I can tell you first hand she has been so instrumental in getting the truth out to the public and not been intimidated to put it in print. We need to stand up and fight this – if you breathe air or drink water this affects YOU!
Tim Ruggiero says
Jennifer – you are exactly right- we need to help Peggy fight this! Who is the operator? The mineral right owner? Who approved the permit and FAILED for the millionth time, to give any consideration to the fact that there was a home nearby?

It seems to me that the arguments DISH Mayor Tillman has made about how stacking up multiple compression stations on a small piece of land violates the applicable health standards are sufficient reason for an injunction against Williams' plan to put 4 such stations on this property.
I hope that is seriously considered as a response to this.

I read about a petition. Where do we sign? The operator is Bosque but it is believed to be part of Williams Production Companies. Williams owns some of the land and has quite a bit of the land leased in this area. This is bad because Williams wants to pipe the waste water from their wells in the surrounding areas underground to this Disposal well. They are also talking about piping the waste water from a proposed Waste Water Collection Facility (Tank Farm) here in Flower Mound. This facility will service up to 100 wells and produce a lot of toxic waste water. Which will no doubt end up in this Argyle facility. The gas drilling activity in this area is already out of control.

Jayme Sizelove turned the petition in, according to the article. I send Lowell Brown and email asking how others can add their names. You aren't the first to ask.
People are mad about the injection well but they are doubly mad at this attempt to silence our best opportunity to have fair reporting. I wonder of Lowell Brown owns property anywhere near the Barnett Shale.
