We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United, and move to amend our Constitution to:
* Firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.
* Guarantee the right to vote and to participate, and to have our vote and participation count.
* Protect local communities, their economies, and democracies against illegitimate “preemption” actions by global, national, and state governments.

About Sharon Wilson
Sharon Wilson is considered a leading citizen expert on the impacts of shale oil and gas extraction. She is the go-to person whether it’s top EPA officials from D.C., national and international news networks, or residents facing the shock of eminent domain and the devastating environmental effects of natural gas development in their backyards.

Here is another well thought out position…
You want an amendment to the constitution that says "human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights," and "protect local communities, their economies, and democracies against illegitimate 'preemption' actions by global, national, and state governments?"
First point, do you not realze that corporations are made up of people that work for them and run them?
Secondly, what are illegitimate "preemption" actions? Also, are you aware that our constitution only applies to our sovereign borders? To adopt such ridiculous language would take away our ability to protect our citizens and our country. If we should do anything, it would be to build up our defense capabilities, look at our energy policy to revamp for U.S. independence, and stop fighting wars overseas for self-preservation; i.e. oil needs.

Yes, the proposed amendment is … ill-advised …
Instead of focusing on limiting political free speech, how about some REAL campaign finance reform ..

We gotta make some changes. This supreme court is left over from the Ronnie Reagan and Cheney Eras! Changes are needed there.
