Wash, rinse, repeat. Benzene is not the only toxin of concern in the Barnett Shale.
And we don’t really know what all is in our air because, according to this WFAA report, they only conducted testing on 44 sites not the 94 they mentioned previously.
Scientists revealed potentially hazardous levels of benzene were found in the air at or near about half of the 44 facilities included in the study.
TCEQ loves to juggle the numbers. The truth is: 21 of the 44 sites that were actually tested had high levels of benzene.

Chris Hawes and her handler Michael Valentine are both idiots. You can't believe a word that comes out of their mouths. It's obvious that they can't read either. The TCEQ report clearly states that VOC data Samples were collected from 64 sites. Of the total sites in the survey 94, 2 had extremely high VOC counts, which were easily corrected by closing a valve. The re-survey of the 2 sites indicated they were compliant with guidelines. The 21 she is mentioning, exceeded the long term ESL of 1.4ppb but, the summa canisters were only exposed for approximately 1 hour. Therefore you would apply the short term ESL of 180ppb of which all 21 site were below that level. One of these day Chris should consider taking a remedial course on reading and comprehension.
