I woke abruptly this morning thinking about the citizens of DISH, all the neighbors living on top of Herb Wright’s 953 acres of minerals near the Ruggieros, Flower Mound, Fort Worth, Wise County, Denton and the entire Barnett Shale.
Industry is knowingly and willfully endangering our health. Test after test shows that fugitive emissions are occurring regularly and that those emission are TOXIC.
Industry has been knowingly and willfully endangering our health for years. High levels of hydrocarbons in our air from fugitive emissions was reported in 2006.

Gas drilling in the Barnett Shale doesn’t help
Tuesday, May 30, 2006
By PEGGY HEINKEL-WOLFE / Denton Record-Chronicle…a 2003 air quality study found extensive hydrocarbon pollution in North Texas, the kind commonly attributed to oil and gas extraction, according to Donald Blake, a University of California professor of atmospheric chemistry…
That article was written four years ago, but the testing by University of California was conducted in 2003 ! They’ve been studying this for SEVEN years and industry still continues to blow toxins at us.
The Ruggieros haven’t used their central heating system all winter because they don’t what to pull extra toxins into their home. This seems like a prudent thing to do unless there are some kind of filters to filter out the toxins. Maybe our schools should also consider this move.

This is an excellent write-up. We are begining to identify and quantify, through measurements, the obvious damage to our air, land, and water–damage being done by Big Gas's activities. So the question now remains where do we go for help? It ain't the RRC. It ain't the WCEQ. It ain't the bought off crooked Texas courts. So where? Where do we go for help?
