This morning I drove out to Argyle to check on the protesters and take them some donuts. There were about 25 to 30 people, mostly moms, scattered out on Frenchtown Rd. and Jeter. Some of them brought dogs that wore signs about their cancers (11 dogs in the neighborhood have cancer). Some moms had to make the school drop-off before they came to the protest.
The funny thing: Initially, the protesters were standing in the driveway blocking entry and about 8 trucks were backed up. Then the Sheriff came and told them they couldn’t block the trucks. But, when the Sheriff came, several of the trucks turned around and high-tailed it out of there. It seems very few of the workers speak English. Heh! They were calling us names in Spanish. Little did they know that one protester is bilingual.
The Williams PR guy showed up and informed us that he is “community outreach.” He was clearly put out with the protest. I guess this sort of thing reflects poorly on his “outreach” skills.
All Williams needs to do is recycle onsite like they do in other states. Then they wouldn’t have to ruin these families health, safety and property values. Drillers in Texas won’t use best practices because it’s not mandated and until it’s mandated they won’t do the right thing.
I’ll have pictures up later.

How about Homeland Security? They'll take those workers to Lew Sterrett for the night and get them on a plane bright and early tomorrow morning.

Has anybody checked? The O&G industry is probably exempt from illegal alien hiring practices as well. They are exempt from everything else.

Just got back from this site….along the way, stopped to take a nice breath of diesel at the compressor station off 377 next to Liberty. The actual site is horrible, and crazy close to the homes in that area. Nice homes, well, used to be, surprised there isn't a lawyer in there somewhere. On the way out drove by 2 pad sites and no less than 20 trucks and machinery tearing up the ROW for gathering lines. Another day in the Barnett Shale, another 10 families homes ruined. Thank you Argyle reps, you managed to keep the bar low.

This is very entertaining reading your blogs knowing ya'll have no clue what your talking about. It's funny how one person can write something that they are ASSuming and everyone believes it! LOL

Your blog complains about absence of enforcement of what you believe is the law. How ironic, then, that your rule – that "Racist or bigoted comments will be deleted" – is not being enforced.

So, when you guys get done calling us everything under the sun (I think the only one I haven't heard yet is baby-killer), are you going to finally install vapor recovery devices? Whatever we can do to get to the material changes without the name calling would be great. You can call me any name you want if it get's me a vapor recovery device by my home and everyone else's home you've ruined.
