Note to Ed Ireland: If the industry can’t afford to do things right, even with the $4 billion corporate welfare each year, then something is horribly wrong.
About Sharon Wilson
Sharon Wilson is considered a leading citizen expert on the impacts of shale oil and gas extraction. She is the go-to person whether it’s top EPA officials from D.C., national and international news networks, or residents facing the shock of eminent domain and the devastating environmental effects of natural gas development in their backyards.

Are we splitting hairs here? Industry and their paid liars like Ed Ireland keep saying that there is not one documented case of ground water contamination from hydraulic fracturing. But there are dozens upon dozens of documented cases of ground water contamination everywhere drilling occurs. So what is from then, Ed, the drilling itself?
If people like me can afford to have environmental impact studies done, then so can the Industry- and I'm not one of the recipients of federally funded welfare.
The Industry can also afford to spend tens of millions on ad campaigns, paying for Industry propanga like the BSEEC and Ed's salary. I would point out that Ed has a Ph.d in ECONOMICS, not any actual SCIENCE. With this in mind, Ed must be making a pretty peeny telling lies for Industry rather than making his living on what he actually has his education in.

That's what the Turkey, Ed is paid to do, is lie, lie, lie and convince the peasants that their problems are their fault!

ummmm….It's not working. In fact, I'm not sure who it's working for, anymore. Then again, if the Industry wants to buy their lies, they need to hire an actual scientist, not an economist.
