Neighbors,
I thought this would be a good time to remind all of us that the Industry openly calls the Waste Water “salt water”. The Gas Industry uses propaganda to convince us that this waste water is safe. I ask the question:
If waste water is safe, and only contains salt, then why is it we need to do a spill clean up and remove water and soil that has been contaminated by this waste water?
These two things do not match up.
Note, there are states that require the gas industry to recycle the waste water to use on other fracing jobs. Why doesn’t Texas? This seems like the logical thing to do with the trillion of gallons of water the gas industry has used in 2009, that has been taken from the upper trinity river water aquifer. If we required the gas industry to recycle the water, like Williams does in Colorado, then we wouldn’t have a Centralized Collection Facility at Jeter and Frenchtown. And Williams would not need to make Frenchtown Road into a four lane highway to support the 18 wheeler traffic to remove the waste water from what will be 18 tanks in OUR neighborhood.
Also, please remember that the Jeter and Frechtown CCF is located on a flood plain that leads to Lake Grapevine.

The term Salt Water is a bogus term from the RRC. The RRC uses the term Salt Water if waste/toxins are in liquid form and contaminate water sources. The RRC uses the term Water Vapor if toxins/waste goes into the air. and they use the term Landfarming for waste/toxins that go onto the land. Very benign terms used to fool the ordinary citizens. Also in Tx surface and subsurface water sources are allowed to be contaminated by O&G. Your tax money then is used to clean up the water before they send it into the pipes to your house! You pay and O&G makes big bucks!
