- The emissions from Barnett Shale natural gas development are a FACT!
- We call them emissions but they are actually TOXIC COMPOUNDS!
- 95% of these TOXIC COMPOUNDS can be prevented by using the best practices in Drill-Right Texas
The industry supplied, politically motivated monitors are simply a means for industry to stall fixing the problem and for Rick Perry to pull another political stunt.
Don’t forget that one of these monitors in DISH doesn’t seem to work all that well. It seems that monitor is giving false readings.
Please see Senator Wendy Davis’ Letter to TCEQ asking them to take 6 additional steps including making sure the monitors are controlled by an independent 3rd party and making sure that industry uses emission controls and best practices.

That's right, Nelson, Burgess, and Parker are all singing a slightly different tune these days. They really want to get re-elected. Oh, we don't really think they believe what they are saying about urban drilling, but they are dancing nicely around the issue when, what they thought to be their political base, went rogue on them. Never assume you have a vote in Denton county just because you have an "R" by your name

Well, Burgess has a town hall in Denton recently and he was all Drill, Baby, Drill and don't regulate. He made his position CRYSTAL CLEAR.

Good point. I was referring to what he puts in his interviews that go with all of the media reports. Those have more "middle of the road" rhetoric. He cooked his own goose when he endorsed the voter retired old Flower Mound mayor who received $15,000 worth of oil and gas executive money (you can view it on the campaign finance reports which are now public record). Aint transparency a bitch?
