Danny Peters, you are sadly mistaken and so incredibly misinformed. We'd love to know where you get your informaion from, but so far, we can see by your own admission, most of it comes from the paid liars and energy lobbying groups. To say "Fear not, there will not be any BP style blowouts" is something you cannot even begin to know about, much less predict. Who could know these things? There are operators out there right now who can't seem to control their own equipment, emissions, drilling fluids, produced water, condensate tank seals and hatches amongst other thing, yet you speak from a vantage point of ignorance. Apparently, you've just come from an Ed Ireland seminar, who will have you believe gas well drilling solves a variety of problems, including city budget shortfalls, creates millions of jobs, increases property values, and generally promotes a sense of well being. Nothing could be further from the truth. Unemployment is in double digits, the city of Fort Worth is deeply in the red, and property values have dropped considerably. Try looking at the TCEQ website and look at the hundreds of complaints. The only people who don't seem to be complaining about loss of property, health issues, bad air and contaminated water are the ones getting a check.
